Thank
you for visiting our website.
The Omar Cobras of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are the
newest motorized unit of Omar Shrine and were founded in
2004.
Noble
Don Cox
(Lady Jane)
is a co-founder of the Unit and one of the original Charter
Members. He and Nobles
Richard "Woody" Woods (Lady
Cathy),
who joined in 2006 and Noble
Gary
Goff
(Lady Jane)
who joined in 2009 are the current active members of
the small,
but dedicated and hard working unit who designed, built and
own their own cars.
Each member has earned
their Medal of Honor Fez, their 100,000 point Blazer and are members of the $100
Million Dollar Club.
The Omar Cobras are proud
to have won several Imperial Motor Corps and SAASMC
competition trophies, and have received Omar Shrine Potentates Special
Recognition plaques, Shrine Bowl Service Awards and numerous
Shrine parade trophies while continuing to entertain the
public with their azure-blue, modified AC Shelby replica
go-carts as they continue to support the Shrine of North
America and their 22 Shrine hospitals.
The Unit is currently
"reorganizing", so while they may not be participating in
all parades or
competing in competitions in 2011... the Members and their Ladies are
actively supporting various Shrine and community activities.
